Brandon Laron Byars, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he lied to police about his identity.
Police said that Byars gave police the name of “Eric” as his own while being questioned at a location on Martha Berry Blvd.
Byars is charged with giving false information to police and three counts contempt of court.
