Charles Andrew Shropshire Jr, 22 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he hit a guardrail on GA 293 and then walked away from the scene refusing to come back.
Shropshire then told officers that he was going to kill them if they touched him.
Police added that they noticed an odor of alcohol on his breath and bloodshot eyes while continually attempting to resist arrest.
Troopers also noticed numerous bottles opened Fireball whisky in the floorboard.
Officers added that Shropshire told them that he knew their son and that when he got out of jail he would pay. While in the booking area of the jail, he again told the officer that “it’s not a threat it’s a promise”.
Shropshire is charged with felony obstruction, three counts terroristic threats/acts, DUI, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, window tint violation, open container and failure to maintain lane.
