Chase Jordan Anderson, 17 of Loganville, was arrested in Rome after reports said he hit a juvenile correctional officer in the head, back and facial area.
Reports added that the officer fell and injured himself in the attack.
The officer had to seek medical attention from the attack.
Anderson is charged with felony obstruction.
