Ronnie Antonio White, 30 of Cartersville, was arrested in Rome this week after reports said he attempted to destroy drugs and attack a police officer.
According to police, White refused to comply with officers by resisting getting handcuffed and placed in a patrol car. After arriving at the jail White is accused of placing marijuana inside his mouth and swallowing it.
He is then accused of throwing elbows toward officers before grabbing and squeezing an officer’s leg. One officer suffered injuries to their hand during the incident.
White is charged with simple battery against a police officer, tampering with evidence, obstruction an felony obstruction of an officer.
