Candace Nicole Mims, 33 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said she repeatedly unlawfully dumped trash in her front yard and on her porch at 59 Nelson Street.
Police said that they made numerous unsuccessful attempts to have Mims clean up her yard. Reports added that the debris and trash consumed the entire front porch and side yard and were giving off a powerful odor and attracting gnats, flies, and other insects.
Officers added that they observed a burn spot in the front yard where a large pile of trash bags was previously occupying.
Mims is charged with unlawful dumping.
