Malcolm Tyrell Kennedy, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he kicked the door to his mother’s Cherry Street home down.
Kennedy is then accused of destroying a light fixture.
The total estimated damage was close to $500.
Kennedy is charged with criminal trespass and probation violation.
