A Polk County jailer, Jacob Lee Franklin ,18 of Centre, has been fired and arrested after an inappropriate relationship with an inmate.
Reports said that Franklin was terminated several weeks ago but was jailed recently following an investigation that revealed he had been passing notes to a female inmate in early September. A GBI investigation also discovered that Franklin kissed the mounts and fondled the buttocks of three different inmates while they were incarcerated.
Franklin is charged with three counts of improper sexual contact.
