Joseph Pinkney Blakenship, 59 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he grabbed a 60 year-old woman by the hair and threw her into a hotel elevator.
Reports added that the incident occurred at the Days Inn on Turner McCall Blvd.
Blakenship is charged with simple battery.
