Rome Woman Jailed for Stealing over $30K from Employer

Ashlei Leann Latimer, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she repeatedly stole money from Paper Recovery Company on East 6^th Street.

Authorities said that on March 30t of this year, Latimer wrote herself a check for $30,000 from her employer’s account. She then went and cashed the check at First National Community Bank

Police said that on July 3, Latimer stole $5,000 and on August 2^nd, she stole $1,500.

Latimer is charged with two counts felony theft by taking.
