Darrius Marquis Bradford, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after a traffic stop on Shorter Avenue at Coosawattee Avenue resulted in drug trafficking charges.

Reports said that officers stopped Bradford for a brake light violation when a K9 dog altered on the vehicle.  A search then led officers to find a large amount of marijuana packaged in multiple baggies and a stolen handgun.

Bradford is charged with drug trafficking, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, reckless conduct, sale and distribution of dangerous drugs, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana and distribution of marijuana and brake lights.
