Walker Pate Bearden, 27 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he failed to provide medical care and food for two dogs.
Reports said that the dogs were found in a starved condition in which their ribs and pelvic bones were visible from a distance. There was also no visible fat on the animals. In addition, they had open sores and patches of fur missing from their backs.
Bearden is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
