Stefan Antonio Clemmons, 36 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said they found him with an open bottle of tequila within reach while in the the passenger area of a car.
While taking him into custody, police found him illegally in possession of a gun.
Clemmons is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and open container.
