Chance Dalton Beam, 24 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he kicked a police officer before attempting to run away in an effort to prevent arrest.
Reports indicated that the incident occurred at his home on East 14th Street.
Beam is charged with felony obstruction, willful obstruction and probation violation.
This marked the second time in a week that Beam has been arrested in Rome
