Joshua Blake Strickland, 40 of Silver Creek, was jailed this week after reports said he attempted to kick out the back window of a police car following a drunken tirade.

Police said that they were dispatched after Strickland called 911 five times without there being an emergency.

When officers went to speak with Strickland they found him intoxicated walking in the roadway near the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Coker Drive.

It was then, Strickland allegedly attempted to run from officers on foot.  He was captured after a short chase.

After being placed in the back of a patrol car, Strickland then repeatedly struck the back window of the patrol car.
