Xavier Michael Mitchell, 17 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked his 41 year-old aunt during an altercation on Branham Avenue.
Reports said that Mitchell threatened to beat the victim up before grabbing her hair in a vicious way.
Officers added that Mitchell attempted to flee the scene on foot when they arrived.
Mitchell is charged with battery, terroristic threats/acts and obstruction.
