George Ellsworth Tilton III, 49 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he retained a vehicle he knew was stolen.
Police added that they found him driving the vehicle on Shorter Avenue without insurance and without registration.
Tilton is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, driving a motor vehicle on a suspended registration, and driving without insurance.
