Phillip Elis Briggs Jr, 61 of Marietta, was arrested this week after reports said he took control of a Ryobi drill and concealed it between his legs and attempted to place it in his vehicle.
Police added that the incident occurred at a senior living facility on Chulio Road.
Briggs is charged with theft of mislaid property.
