Yazmine Chavez, 25 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she conspired with others to sneak contraband inside the Floyd County Prison.

Reports said that Chavez and William Jerome Coleman, an inmate, conspired to sneak in a 40.32 grams of tobacco, a lighter, hidden compartment canister and a black cap inside the prison.

Authorities said that Chavez was to leave the items at Coleman’s work detail spot.

Chavez is charged with items prohibited by an inmate, conspiracy to commit a felony and use of a communication device involving a controlled substance.
