Jose Maria Reyes, 18 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to murder his father.
Reports said that Reyes placed his hands around the victim’s throat in an effort to strangle him.
The incident occurred that their home on Lawrence Avenue.
Reyes is charged with aggravated assault.
