A 26 year-old Rome woman, Channing Wallace, was killed early Saturday morning after reports said she ran a stop sign and was hit by an 18-wheeler tractor trailer.
Reports said that Wallace ran a stop sign at the intersection of Woods Road and Alabama Highway when the westbound tractor-trailer struck the driver’s side of her vehicle.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the accident.
Wallace’s body will be sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy.
It appears that no charges will be filed against the driver of the tractor-trailer.
