Rome Man Accused of Stealing Car while Victim was in Jail

Louis Wayne Loveless, 54 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports stated he stole a 2014 Nissan Altima from a person who was incarcerated at the Floyd County Jail.

The vehicle, which is valued at $5,000, was taken from the victim’s home on Craton Road back on May 11^th.

Loveless is also accused of taking the car’s key fob, which is valued at $150.

Loveless is charged with two counts theft by taking.
