An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Terrell Eugene Edmondson, 43 of Rome, is facing new charges after he seriously injured another inmate.
Reports said that while attacking a disabled 59 year-old victim he used stomps and kicks to cause the man’s lung to collapse.
Edmondson is charged with aggravated battery, intimidation of a disabled person, unlawful acts in a penal institution, and battery.
Edmondson has been housed at the Floyd County Jail since February after he was accused of stealing a car from a home on Calhoun Avenue.
