Daniel Scott Beavers, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he engaged in a fight with officers while being taken into custody for stalking a 58 year-old woman.
Reports said that officers were called to a home on Lyons Drive after Beavers violated a court order to stay away from the woman.
When officers arrived, Beavers allegedly gave them a fake name and in an effort to avoid arrest.
After discovering his identity, Beavers began to fight with officers while being taken into custody.
Beavers is charged with aggravated stalking, giving false information to police and four counts of obstruction.
