Devion Tremaine Neal, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said officers found a stolen gun and drugs during a traffic stop near the intersection of Cherokee and Hardy Roads.
Reports said that officers discovered that Neal was driving on an expired tag when they initiated the stop. A search of the vehicle was then conducted, resulting in officers finding a large amount of marijuana and the stolen gun.
Neal was also driving on a suspended license.
Neal is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, two counts of possession/distribution of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and parole violation.
