Cartersville Police arrested two men last week after they were captured stealing 662 cans of baby formula valued at $26,000.

Reports said that Regulo Sanchez-Romero and Meteo Sanchez-Romero, as well as a 16 year-old juvenile, were taken into custody at the Publix Supermarket on Cherokee Place as they were exiting the store in possession of 12 cans of stolen baby formula.

Cartersville authorities were notified with a BOLO of the Texas men following a scheme around Metro Atlanta where they had stolen hundreds of cans of baby formula.

Both adults have been charged with felony theft by shoplifting, felony theft by receiving, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Regulo Sanchez-Romero has also been charged with driving while unlicensed and Mateo Sanchez-Romero was also charged with providing a false name and date of birth.
