An employee of the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority, Theo Corderral Davis, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he charged $28,817.55 worth of personal purchases on government-owned bank cards.
Reports said that most of the items were then resold with Davis keeping the cash.
Police said that Davis purchased items such as lawn mowers, pressure washers and other tools.
An investigation into Davis’ actions was started after the NWGHA discovered discrepancies in their book keeping.
Davis is charged with felony unauthorized use of financial transaction card fraud.
