Daniel Scott Beavers, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he punched his mother and then slung her to the floor during a verbal altercation.
Reports added that the victim suffered an injury to her arm from the attack.
The incident occurred at a home on Lyons Drive.
Beavers is charged with battery.
