Dustin Wayne Ledford, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a Taurus 9mm handgun and then sold it to another person.
Police said that Ledford sold the gun, which is valued at $300, to the victim for $100 back in early September.
Ledford is charged with felony theft by deception and felony theft by receiving stolen property.
