Sylvester Johnson, 59 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he caused physical harm to his previous spouse.
Police reports did not indicate what Johnson did, but did say he caused “substantial” harm to the victim.
The incident occurred on Branham Avenue.
Johnson is charged with battery.
