Monteco Markeze Johnson, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he used his fist to beat his live-in girlfriend in the face.
Reports stated that the victim suffered swelling and redness to her face and right eye.
The incident occurred at an apartment on Dodd Blvd.
Johnson is charged with battery and probation violation.
