Steven Eugene Offutt, 37 of Armuchee, was arrested this week after an alleged verbal dispute with his mother became physical, which placed her in fear of her safety.
Reports said that while arguing, Offutt became angry and aggressive and proceeded to bust a glass out of a gun cabinet.
Reports added that Offutt became “very argumentative and disrespectful toward the victim during the altercation”.
Offutt is charged with simple assault and criminal trespass.
