Willie Roger Montgomery Jr, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he drove his vehicle at a police officer to avoid a road block.
Police said that Montgomery then fled on GA 53 in a reckless manner while reaching speeds of 110mph.
Montgomery eventually stopped on Rush Chapel Road, where he was taken into custody. Montgomery is charged with aggravated assault, felony obstruction, driving on an expired license, stop sign violation, speeding, reckless driving, attempting to elude police and distracted hands free violation
