Matthew Walter Fortune, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he was found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and a syringe at the East Rome Walmart.
Police stated that they stopped Fortune for having a busted taillight and a cracked windshield.
A K9 officer then sniffed and altered on his vehicle.
The drugs were found after a probable cause search.
Fortune is charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana, improper taillights, failure to appear and probation violation.
A 34 year-old woman, Haley Shiree Warren, of Rome, was also in the vehicle and arrested.
She was charged with possession of meth, possession of marijuana and drug related objects.
