Timothy Morris Williams jr., 24 of Rome, was arrested this week following a high-speed chase on Georgia 101.

Report stated that officers clocked Williams at speeds of over 90 miles per hour while driving Southbound on Georgia 101. Officers stated that Williams refused to stop despite running lights and audible sirens.

Officers went on to say that during the pursuit Williams wrecked his vehicle, causing excessive damage to a guardrail.

Williams is then accused of leaving the scene of the accident to avoid apprehension.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that Williams was found to be under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, and was also found in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Williams is charged with speeding attempting to elude a police officer, DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain Lane, and possession of marijuana.
