Jeremy Wayne Loyd, 41 of Piedmont Alabama, was arrested during a traffic stop at the intersection of Alabama and Church Streets in Cave Spring on numerous traffic and drug charges.

Reports stated that Lloyd was stopped for a tag light violation and during an investigation it was determined that he was driving on a suspended license. Officers stated that before being placed in the patrol car Lloyd admitted to them that he was in possession of drugs.

Reports added that police removed a black case from Lloyds left jacket pocket. Inside the case was over half an ounce of methamphetamine, two baggies of marijuana, a black digital scale, and a glass smoking device that contained suspected meth residue. 

Lloyd was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, a tag light violation, and driving on a suspended license.
