Desmond Rasean Johnson, 41 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned a woman and placed a gun to her mouth.
Reports added that when she attempted to call 911 for help he took away her phone.
Authorities added that Johnson held her against her will in a bedroom for several hours.
Johnson is charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment, felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and misdemeanor interference with 911.
