Amari Javarius Peterson, 19 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he had sexual relations with a 14 year-old girl in a dorm on the campus of Shorter University.
Reports said that the relations occurred back earlier this month.
Peterson is charged with sodomy, statutory rape and aggravated child molestation.
