Glenn Franklin Hamilton, 43 of Rome, was booked into the Floyd County Jail this week to face charges after two years of attacking a woman and leading police on a high speed chase.
Reports stated that on November 30 2018 Hamilton went to a home on Huffaker Road and stole a utility trailer valued at over $1,500. Video cameras was used to identity Hamilton as the suspect.
Then on December 19 2018, Hamilton led police on a car chase while driving a stolen truck of speeds up to 95 mpg down Ga 1 and Booger Hollow Road. Two passengers was also in the vehicle at the time of the chase.
Then on December 28 2018 he is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the neck and causing visible injury to her neck and jaw. When deputies arrived Hamilton fled the scene on foot.
He was eventually captured but was sent to a correctional facility to face other charges first.
Hamilton was transported from Easterling Correctional Facility in Alabama to face the charges here on Georgia on Monday.
Hamilton is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, battery, obstruction, fleeing a police officer, reckless driving, speeding, stop sign violation, and three counts failure to appear.

Glenn Franklin Hamilton, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after police said he grabbed an officer by the genitals.
Reports stated the incident occurred after Hamilton gave officers a false name.
Hamilton is charged with battery, giving false name to police and two counts felony obstruction.
