Jarvis Devaughn Jacoway, 31 of Rome, was arrested at the Rome Food Mart on Shorter Avenue after he allegedly called an employee a “bi***” and then proceeded to toss salad tongs at her.
The victim told police that the tongs hit the safety glass at the check out counter.
Reports added that the assault occurred in front of other customers.
While being taken into custody he was allegedly found in possession of marijuana.
Jocoway is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana.
