An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Corun Jaron Sellars, 33 of Rome, is facing additional charges after he allegedly hit another person in the face.
Reports said that Sellars hit a 37 year-old man in the face, resulting in a knot to her forehead and a laceration to his lip.
He has been housed at the jail since January 20 on a parole warrant.
Selllars is charged with battery.
