Five inmates at the Floyd County Jail, which includes a suspected child molester, a man tied to to a white supremacy gang and another tied a white supremacy murder plot, are all lfacing additional charges after allegedly attempting to destroy jail property.
According to reports, Michael John Helterbrand, 26; Toby Keith Johnson, 25; Adam Corey Master, 34; Joshua Michael Pointer, 32; and Scotty Joel Venable, 38, were all irritated at being placed on lockdown for disciplinary reasons and as a result damaged sprikers in their cells and caused it to flood.
All are charged with felony interference with government property, second degree criminal damage to property, unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, and misdemeanor reckless conduct after destroyed fire sprinklers.
