Nakia Leigh DeWitte, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she, and another person, broke into a home on Williamsburg Drive and stole thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.

Reports said that DeWitte ripped a screen off a rear window and gained entry to the home.

She is accused of stealing a Toshiba laptop, savings bonds, passport, stock certificates and a social security card.

DeWitte ws found with the victim’s identification that she reportedly had intent to use for personal gain.

She is charged with first degree burglary, theft by receiving stolen property, identity fraud and probation violation.
