Armand Devanta Sylvester, 28 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he pulled a 9 mm handgun on a 31 year-old woman and threatened to kill her.
Reports added that the incident, which occurred at a home on East 12th Street, happened in front of a 9 year-old child.
He was taken into custody a short time later at Batty Jones Park.
Sylvester is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts and cruelty to children.
