Devon Makai Young, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with a large assortment of drugs and a firearm after he allegedly pushed a police officer.
Reports stated that Young pushed and shoved the officer in an effort to avoid arrest. After being apprehended officers said that he was found in possession of a large quantity of oxycodone that was for distribution, marijuana, digital scales, baggies, cash and a hand gun.
The incident occurred on Gordon Street.
Young is charged with three counts felony obstruction, possession of a knife during the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana, distribution of marijuana, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of a schedule II controlled substance with intent to distribute.
