A 45 year-old Cumming woman, Merilea Levitt Hansler, turned herself in at the Floyd County Jail Monday after a warrant was taken for her arrest for allegedly conspiring with two others to sneak 77 grams of methamphetamine into the local prison.
Reports said that investigators used recorded phone lines and the inmate email system to identity Hansler and issue a warrant for her arrest.
Hansler is charged with items prohibited for inmates, conspiracy to violated the Controlled Substances Act and use of a communications facility involving a controlled substance.
