John Larry Mullinax, 68 of Cave Spring, was arrested this week after reports said he pepper sprayed his girlfriend in the face during a confrontation.
Reports said that he shot it in her eyes and mouth at his home on Morgan Dairy Road.
Mullinax is charged with simple battery and probation violation.
