Cornelious Maurice Kendrick, 42 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he choked a woman with his hands before kicking her in the forehead and stealing her cellphone.
Reports said that the woman’s head was injured in the attack, and the phone was valued at $1,400.
Kendrick is charged with aggravated assault, battery and theft by taking.
