James Martin Thompson Jr, 20 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he placed a woman in fear of being injured.
Reports said that Thompson threatened to do an act of violence against the woman.
The incident occurred at Thompson’s home on Cedar Avenue.
Thompson is charged with simple assault and terroristic threats and acts.
