Benjamin Edward Potts, 66 of Rome, was arrested this week after he allegedly fired a gun at numerous people near North Avery Road.
Reports said that the rounds landed near 8 nearby people.
Potts is charged with 8 counts simple assault, reckless conduct and discharge of a gun near a street.
