Stevie Marie Thompson, 28 of Rome, and Gerald Gunner Griffin, 49 of Ellijay, were arrested at Publix after police said they attempted to steal close to $110 worth of merchandise.
Reports said that a search of Thompson led police to find suspected meth inside a needle.
Both are charged with theft by shoplifting.
Thompson is additionally charged with possession of meth.
Griffin is additionally charged with probation violation.
